About The Position

Gordon Food Service is seeking a CDL A Delivery Driver in Beaumont, TX. This position involves building relationships with customers while delivering essential food products to various establishments such as restaurants, schools, hospitals, and universities. Drivers will operate on day shifts and local routes, ensuring they are home every day. The role requires unloading cases up to 100 lbs using a ramp and two-wheeler throughout the shift. Gordon Food Service is a family-operated foodservice business with over 125 years of experience, serving customers across the U.S. and Canada.

Requirements

At least 21 years of age
Class A CDL License at hire
1-2 years of driving experience
Ability to operate a two-wheel cart with loads of up to 350 pounds
Ability to lift up to 100 lbs throughout the shift
Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English (to read labels, pick lists, scanners, signage, company website information related to benefits, updates, complete paperwork, and follow verbal instructions)
Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
Must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020
