CDL-A Dedicated Yard Jockey
About The Position
A. Duie Pyle is seeking an experienced, motivated full-time Dedicated CDL-A Qualified Yard Jockey in Vineland, NJ. This role requires moving trucks from Yard to building and back and maneuvering trucks into loading or unloading positions as needed. Why Pyle? Requirements
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- Minimum 1 year of recent CDL-A experience, van type trailer preferred
- Currently hold, or obtain, a non-excepted interstate DOT medical card
- Must be at least 21 years of age or older
- No more than three moving violations and or accidents within the last three years, subject to review
- Ability to communicate effectively; must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must be able to obtain and maintain TSA security clearance
Nice To Haves
- Previous Jockey or Switcher experience, preferred
Responsibilities
- Moving trailers around the terminal to various locations
- Maneuvering the truck into loading and or unloading positions
- Visually inspecting trailers and or trucks before and after moving each
- Connecting tractors to trailers
- Assisting with the unloading and loading of freight as needed
- Maintaining documentation of each trailer moved throughout the assigned shift
