Plans, designs, develops and performs quality assessments on data elements and structures to document and evaluate integrity, completeness, quality, and appropriateness of formats, records and structures. Configures, operates and develops manual and/or automated methods, processes and procedures to test output or input based on data compliance, quality and use requirements as established by product management, client specifications, and governance programs. Performs regular and ad hoc reviews, audits, and investigations of data activity and integrity; prepares reports and summaries of findings. Produces and updates guidelines and documentation of test development processes, procedures, and standards. WHAT YOU'LL DO Design, develop, and implement data quality checks, rules, and monitoring processes to identify and resolve data discrepancies. Perform root cause analysis on identified data quality issues and collaborate with relevant stakeholders (e.g., data owners, engineering, business users) to implement corrective actions. Develop and maintain data quality metrics, dashboards, and reports to track data quality performance and communicate insights to leadership. Participate in data governance initiatives, contributing to the definition and enforcement of data standards, policies, and procedures. Collaborate with data architects and engineers to integrate data quality considerations into new data pipelines and systems development. Conduct data profiling and analysis to understand data characteristics, identify potential quality issues, and recommend improvements. Support data migration and integration projects by ensuring data quality during transitions and transformations. Provide training and support to end-users on data quality best practices and tools. Contribute to the continuous improvement of data quality frameworks, methodologies, and tools within the organization. WHAT YOU'LL NEED Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or a related quantitative field. 4-7 years of experience in data quality, data analysis, or a related data-centric role. Proven experience with data profiling, data cleansing, and data validation techniques. Strong proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis. Experience with data quality tools and platforms (e.g., Collibra, Informatica Data Quality, Ataccama, Talend, or similar). Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL processes, and relational databases. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex data quality issues to both technical and non-technical audiences. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python) for data manipulation and automation is a plus.
