About The Position

This position is responsible for sorting hold area slabs, selecting slabs for fabrication, and moving slabs to the necessary line location. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Learn and apply the concepts of Cambria warehouse work as outlined in the Warehouse SOPs Stage material to prepare for inspection of slab Sort slabs using an overhead crane and store them in the correct locations Ensure that slabs are scanned correctly Inspect the overhead crane daily Operate a forklift as needed (minimal, no experience required) Complete safety inspections of forklift and crane Participate in monthly inventory counts Communicate with Supervisor to keep them informed of material defects and inventory levels Keep work area clean and orderly Conduct all job-related duties in a safe and responsible manner Sense of urgency in completing work Cross-train on multiple types of equipment Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Supervisor or Management Qualifications and Skills: Ability to work safely and follow Standard Operating Procedures Ability to become certified in using a forklift and an overhead crane Strong understanding of machining processes, tooling, materials, and equipment maintenance. Ability to speak and read English sufficiently to converse with the general public, read and understand highway signs/signals, respond to official inquiries, and make entries on reports/records Ability to use measuring equipment Ability to read, analyze and interpret blueprints and technical procedures Basic computer skills Basic math skills Critical thinking skills Minimum Requirements: Education: High school diploma or equivalent is preferred. Experience: Warehouse Experience Preferred Systems: Microsoft Office Suite, AutoCAD is preferred. Push/pull 100 lbs.
