About The Position

The CDBG-DR Quality Control Specialist will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and thoroughness of damage assessments for residential properties under the Restore Louisiana Program. This role involves both independent work and collaboration with a team to maintain high standards in reporting and assessment within a HUD funded Community Development Block Grant for Disaster Recovery program.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience with Xactimate, including sketching, scoping, and damage assessments for residential properties.
  • Previous work within and understanding of CDBG-DR funding programs.
  • Proficient in reviewing and critiquing Xactimate estimates.
  • Understanding of CDBG-DR programs.
  • Adept in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Reliable and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Review and critique Xactimate estimates to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Create and update damage assessments using Xactimate software.
  • Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to achieve common goals of the CDBG-DR program.
  • Maintain proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Conduct on-site damage assessments as required.
