About The Position

The position involves writing detailed bid specifications that comply with current architectural, engineering, and ICC code standards, utilizing inspection data. The role requires maintaining programmatic files, budgets, and reports, ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. The individual will work with various machines and equipment, including computers, vehicles, standard office equipment, tape measures, ladders, and carbon monoxide monitors.

Requirements

• Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent
• Formal training equivalent to satisfactory completion of one year of college education or specialized advanced training
• One year of experience in building construction
• Valid Current Driver's License
• Knowledge of Federal and local building codes
• Knowledge of office practices and procedures
• Knowledge of rehabilitation and construction

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain project files, budgets, and reports
• Provide detailed programmatic record keeping for all Housing and Urban Development (HUD) and Texas Department of Health and Community Affairs (TDHCA) programs
• Interpret Federal and State regulations
• Incorporate inspection data into detailed specifications that comply with EPA, DOL, HUD, DOE, TDH, and TDHCA regulations
• Investigate and resolve complaints and problems between clients and contractors
• Create construction estimates that reflect current architect, engineering, and ICC code compliance
• Perform related duties as directed
