Requirements

  • Doctorate degree OR Master's degree and 2 years of data analytics and/or forecasting experience OR Bachelor's degree and 4 years of data analytics and/or forecasting experience OR Associate's degree and 10 years of data analytics and/or forecasting experience OR High school diploma / GED and 12 years of data analytics and/or forecasting experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of marketing analytics / Forecasting in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Experience with advanced spreadsheets and automated data visualization software (e.g. Tableau).
  • Experience in Excel, PowerPoint, and database languages (e.g. SQL).
  • Ability to think strategically to support key business decisions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in team-based environment across different functional groups.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills—understands the strengths and limitations of different analytical approaches.
  • Skill in handling multiple responsibilities, priorities, tasks and projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Lead demand forecasting and report to the Director Customer Forecasting within the Global Customer Data & Analytics organization.
  • Independently craft, prepare, and maintain advanced forecast models for Amgen assets.
  • Contribute to regular forecast cycles including annual long-range forecast and short-term forecast.
  • Partner with the cross-functional team to use forecasts to understand business performance.
  • Perform in-depth data analysis to build robust assumptions and forecast inputs.
  • Analyze competitors and market dynamics to inform forecasting models and strategic decisions.
  • Lead collaboration with internal cross functional partners to obtain relevant data and analysis.
  • Present and defend forecast approach, methodology, assumptions, and outputs in brand team discussions.
  • Collaborate with the broader CD&A organization to integrate insights and analytics knowledge into forecast development.
