  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to derive insights that drive substantial business value for Amgen and patients.
  • Oversee the building of high-performance algorithms, prototypes, predictive models, and proof of concepts using Python or R.
  • Identify business needs and propose and execute on analytical approaches.
  • Effectively communicate analysis ideas, progress, and results to leadership and business partners.
  • Accountable for measurement of spend efficiency and recommendations on optimization of future spend across brands, tactics, channels, and audience types.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Media, Finance, and other CD&A teams to create marketing budgets and monitor spending to ensure cost-effectiveness and maximize ROI.
  • Analyze the financial impact of marketing initiatives.
  • Doctorate degree and 3 years of data science and/or analytics experience OR Master's degree and 5 years of data science and/or analytics experience OR Bachelor's degree and 7 years of data science and/or analytics experience OR Associate's degree and 12 years of data science and/or analytics experience OR High school diploma / GED and 14 years of data science and/or analytics experience.
  • Excellent organization/planning skills and talent for managing multiple large and complex projects.
  • Ability to collaborate and influence business partners and IS resources to drive analytic projects end-to-end.
  • Proven track record of interpreting and communicating analytical insights to non-technical & technical partners.
  • Technical proficiency with strong logical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Passion for learning and staying on top of current developments in advanced analytics.
  • Marketing Mix and/or Multi Touch Attribution experience.
  • Expertise in using analytic tools such as Excel, R, SQL, Python, Tableau.
  • Experience with statistical estimation techniques and/or optimization techniques.
  • Expertise in pharmaceutical data sets, such as prescriber-plan data, patient-level data, transactional claims, EMR/EHR data, SPP Hub data, media data.
  • Experience working with large datasets and distributed computing tools (Databricks, PySpark).
