About The Position

The EMS - Registered Nurse (CCT RN) in North Las Vegas, NV is responsible for providing advanced life support and critical care medicine during inter-facility transports. This role involves direct patient care for critically sick or injured patients, adhering to treatment protocols set by the Critical Care Medical Director. The position requires compliance with state regulations and ongoing training, including a two-week orientation and specialized training programs.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Valid Driver's License.
• Current Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum 2 years of ICU RN or 5 years ED/CCT/Cardiac/Trauma RN experience.
• Current ACLS, PALS, BLS-C (or equivalent) provider status.
• PHTLS and NRP Provider Certification (must obtain within 6 months of hire).
• Completion of ICS courses (FEMA - IS-100B, IS-700A).
• Critical care inter-facility transfer experience.

Nice To Haves

• Nevada State EMS-RN License Preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of Nursing Experience, preferably in the ICU or Emergency Department.
• EMS Experience Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic and advanced life support and critical care medicine during patient transports.
• Provide direct patient care to critically sick and/or injured patients.
• Assess patient conditions and determine the best course of action for treatment.
• Utilize critical thinking skills to manage adult or pediatric patients in critical care situations.
• Act as team leader and maintain a safe, clean, and well-stocked environment for patients.
• Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel.
• Maintain required certifications and participate in ongoing training.
• Attend mandatory quarterly Critical Care meetings.
