About The Position

Trihydro is seeking an experienced, mid-to-senior-level professional to expand our Underground Injection Control (UIC)/Carbon Management (CM) Team while combining select responsibilities for our Energy Team. We are actively involved in multiple carbon capture and sequestration (CCS) and UIC projects across the United States. Our ideal candidate will be an engineering, geologic, and/or UIC subject matter expert. They will assist with the technical work within the UIC/CM Team, but just as importantly play a role in shaping the future growth and development of this team. This position will also occasionally support the Energy Team with project management and business development roles. This full-time position requires approximately 40 hours per week and involves a blend of project management, strong communication skills, and problem-solving abilities. Requirements

  • A BS in engineering or geology (MS desirable, but not required).
  • 10+ years of relevant CCS/UIC and/or oil and gas experience.
  • Industry employment history as a project manager with responsibility for managing staff and contractors, communicating directly with clients and regulatory agency staff, preparing cost estimates, and tracking budgets.
  • Experience with Colorado regulatory framework, including Energy and Carbon Management Commission (ECMC) and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE).
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with clients, project stakeholders, regulators/agency staff, coworkers, subcontractors, and other project team members.
  • Initiative and motivation to complete project deliverables on schedule and within budget.
  • Experienced client manager with initiative to cultivate long-standing client relationships.
  • An interest in mentoring junior staff.
  • Ability to travel to client locations and other Trihydro offices.

Responsibilities

  • Managing projects and technical support for: Class I, II, and VI UIC well design, permitting, monitoring, and drilling oversight projects.
  • Assisting with business development activities and continuing to grow the UIC/CM and Energy Teams.
  • Leveraging your professional network to build connections and bring in new work.
  • Presenting at conferences, writing papers, and contributing to the marketing efforts of the team.
  • Managing project staff and subcontractors, assigning resources as necessary to complete project tasks on schedule and within budget.
  • Developing work plans, and briefing field and support staff on relevant plan details.
  • Coordinating with regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and clients to execute environmental investigation and remediation projects for both the UIC and Energy teams.
  • Overseeing groundwater, soil gas, and indoor air monitoring programs, as well as performing field investigations, mapping, and multimedia sampling.
  • Managing and interpreting environmental and geologic data to support regulatory reporting and site closure documentation.
  • Travelling to various field and office locations across the U.S.
