About The Position

The Comprehensive Community Services (CCS) Psychotherapist is responsible for providing psychotherapy, psychoeducation, service facilitation, and support aimed at reducing the impact of serious mental health challenges, and/or substance issues in youth and young adults, 12-24. CCS is a statewide program administered by counties for program participates who need ongoing services for a mental illness, intellectual, developmental and other disabilities, substance use disorder, or a dual diagnosis beyond occasional outpatient care, but less than the intensive care provided in an inpatient setting. The program participant works with a dedicated team of service providers to develop a strengths-based treatment and recovery plan to meet the participants unique needs and goals.

Requirements

  • Valid State of Wisconsin Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) OR State of Wisconsin Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) OR State of Wisconsin Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) OR State of Wisconsin Psychologist
  • Individuals with IT (In Training) licenses are encouraged to apply. Supervision provided by Licensed Psychologist.
  • Current Comprehensive Community Services certification or ability to obtain certification with three months of employment.
  • Minimum 1-year experience working with adolescents or families on issues related to mental health, intellectual, developmental. or other disabilities.
  • Commitment to strength-based, trauma-informed, recovery-focused programming.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Proficient computer skills, specifically in current versions of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Highly organized and detailed oriented with the ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to lift 25 lbs.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand at a desk for most of the day.
  • Valid Driver's license and auto insurance are required for this position.
  • Reliable vehicle to transport self and others.

  • Experience working with and providing CCS is desired.

Responsibilities

  • Provides clinical services to youth, adults, and/or families in a setting best fit to participant needs (e.g., in the home, community telehealth, office). This may include: assessment, therapeutic interventions, and evaluation of progress.
  • Participate actively in recovery teams of participants, including attendance at (or facilitation of) team meetings, consultation with other providers and team members when appropriate, and recommend additional services or providers when applicable.
  • Utilize effective strategies to engage program participants, enhance motivation, and encourage meaningful, collaborative, and strengths-based goal planning and progress.
  • Conduct psychological evaluations as appropriate.
  • As needed, provide in the moment support, skills coaching and intervention (in person or via phone) in accordance with the needs of the youth and family.
  • As applicable, assists with education about and planning for community-based alternatives (i.e. informal respite, transportation, in-home support, etc.) to inpatient hospital admissions.
  • Provide screening and assessment, service linkage, service facilitation, skill development, and other allowable and appropriate services on the CCS service array in a manner that is trauma informed, culturally relevant, and non-stigmatizing.
  • Provide service within your scope of practice following all federal, state and local regulations.
  • Complete charting for all billable services and all other documentation with the CCS time frame, 48 hours.
  • Complete all participant-related and program-related paperwork according to established timelines.
  • Participate in supervision in line with CCS Policies and licensure requirements, one hour of individuals supervision and one hour of group supervision weekly.
