About The Position

The CCO Research Analyst (Research Analyst 3) position at the Oregon Health Authority involves planning and managing research projects to facilitate quality assurance and compliance oversight within the Medicaid Division. The analyst will provide technical coordination to the CCO Performance Analytics team, develop research methodologies, analyze data, and communicate findings to inform decision-making and improve healthcare delivery systems.

Requirements

• Four years of research experience using computerized applications to independently gather, compile, and analyze data and prepare reports.
• A Bachelor's Degree in any discipline that included six-quarter units in statistics or quantitative analysis methods can substitute for three years of required experience.

• Experience in advancing health equity and addressing systemic health disparities.
• Knowledge of social determinants of health and their impacts on health outcomes.
• Experience with health outcomes research and health care delivery systems research.
• Strong communication skills for delivering qualitative and quantitative information to diverse audiences.
• Knowledge of Oregon Administrative Rules and Oregon Revised Statutes.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate complex research projects related to quality assurance and compliance oversight.
• Develop research methodologies, procedures, and forms for data collection.
• Interpret and analyze data to develop report findings and recommendations.
• Create databases and execute data queries to support managed care organization performance monitoring.
• Track, analyze, and communicate the progress of managed care organizations against established outcomes.
• Assist with data analysis and reporting MCO performance across Medicaid units and other divisions.
