About The Position

CCHL Mortgage Consultant Assistant - Capital City Bank - More than your bank, your banker. Hours Mon- Fri 40 Hours General Summary A Mortgage Consultant Assistant works directly under the supervision and guidance of a Mortgage Consultant(s). This position is responsible for managing communication between all parties involved in the loan process and providing administrative support to the Mortgage Consultant. This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. All associates at Capital City Bank, Capital City Wealth, and Capital City Home Loans have access to confidential client information and must practice discretion at all times. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Provide administrative support through the collection of information and documentation in preparation of sending loan files for processing. Communicate with borrowers, processors, operations staff, closing attorneys, title companies, real estate brokers, etc. to expedite the mortgage process. Communicate daily with Mortgage Consultant(s) on the status of loans. Assist processors with routine and sometimes complex operational obstacles such as getting items from borrower(s) in order to get the loan into the final approval stage. Answer client inquiries relating to rate lock status and loan application status to ensure quality client service. Coordinate, create, track and distribute marketing materials. Associates will consistently follow policies and procedures as established by Capital City Bank, Capital City Wealth, and Capital City Home Loans, with department managers setting the standard. Associated Duties Provides additional support to manager and department colleagues. Completes all assigned/required Bank training within established timelines. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) Required The following KSAs are usually acquired through work experience and/or specialized course(s): NMLS License preferred, but not required. Knowledge of FHA, FNMA, FHLMC guidelines. Familiarity with loan origination software (Encompass). Complete comprehension of the mortgage process, from application, processing, underwriting and closing. Candidate must be able to work independently in a fast-paced deadline-oriented environment. Must have effective written and oral communication skills. Proficient using Microsoft Office. Be a strategic thinker and problem solver. Detail oriented. Ability to work in the office during training period with the opportunity to work from home a couple days a week after training period. Education Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for the education requirement. 2-5 years of mortgage experience a plus. Preference for having managed a loan pipeline of twenty loans per month. Successful completion of in-house training program or other approved training program will be considered. Working Conditions Lobby or cubicle environment. Open office environment or hybrid depending on business needs. In the rare instance of a major or extensive natural disaster, epidemic or pandemic occurrence, or other disruption within our footprint, it may be necessary for associates to relocate or telecommute before, during or after, to ensure business continuity. Requirements
