Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited college or university, Required (Doctoral Degree preferred).
  • New Jersey State License in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), Required
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
  • BLS Certification - Required
  • 1–2 years of experience preferred.
  • Strong clinical reasoning, communication, and documentation skills
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Suite, strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct evaluations and assessments for speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient goals.
  • Provide direct therapy services to patients across the lifespan, including infants, children, adults, and geriatric populations.
  • Educate patients, families, and healthcare staff on communication strategies and swallowing precautions.
  • Document evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries in the electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other rehabilitation professionals.
  • Maintain compliance with hospital policies, ASHA standards, and state licensure requirements.
