Our Summer Internship Program is a paid, immersive 10-week experience designed to help you explore career paths while bringing your passions and fresh perspectives to work. This well-rounded program not only offers hands-on learning but also serves as a pipeline for future opportunities. The LA Bureau is headquartered in Studio City, CA with offices in San Francisco and personnel in Las Vegas, Phoenix, Portland and Denver. We cover the news across 13 states in the Western U.S., producing stories and quality journalism for multiple platforms and shows at CBS News.
Requirements
- Internships are available to students who will be Seniors or Master’s students in the fall of 2026. If you are a graduating Senior, please check our website for full-time job opportunities.
- You must be available to intern full-time (5 days a week/36-40 hours a week) for 10 weeks total starting in June.
- Interns will be required to work fully on-site for the duration of the program. Note: Paramount does not provide financial relocation support or housing stipends.
- Internships are paid at a competitive standard hourly rate (school credit is optional).
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full‑time basis.
- Employment eligibility to work with Paramount in the United States is required as the company does not engage in sponsorship for internships.

Responsibilities
- Answering phones, assisting with bureau logistics
- Logging interviews, press conferences
- Making phone calls on breaking news events
- Running production errands
- Assisting producers with packages/story needs
- Researching stories
- Finding information on social media
- Pre-interviewing subjects for stories
