The Cattle Payables Clerk will be responsible for organizing, reconciling and issuing payments for cattle purchased each day at the plant. This role involves inputting data into the system, matching it to harvest lots, and issuing checks for cattle. The clerk will work closely with barn and cattle payable personnel to resolve any issues that arise. Additionally, the position requires setting up new vendors, checking for liens, and managing all necessary documentation. The clerk will also organize and scan scale tickets for backup and assist in accurately entering the receipt of cattle into the system (AS400). Reconciliation of variances in cattle costs is also a key responsibility. Note: this description is not intended to be all inclusive.
