About The Position

Our client in Raymond, OH is looking for a Catia Design / Development Engineer L1. This is a contract position.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field
• CATIA V5 (2+ years experience or 4,000 hours of CATIA)
• Ability to learn company specific software to import supplier cad data
• Ability to communicate with suppliers and working team verbally and by e-mail
• Organizational skills to manage multiple parts simultaneously
• Proficient in MS Excel and Powerpoint for project tracking and communication
• Conducts design feasibility and cost analysis, strength calculations, material selection, part construction, part specification, scheduling and coordinating activities involved in prototyping, fabricating and manufacturing of assigned parts and systems

Responsibilities

• Sectioning and transfer of vehicle data to suppliers
• Collection, validation and cataloging of Cad data and 2D drawing from suppliers
• Coordinate & Perform layout checks between supplier models and vehicle layouts
• Track/communicate vehicle change point effecting supplier part designs
• Ability to check part clearances, and model initial concepts in 3D
• Coordinate installation instructions creation with supplier, graphic illustrator and publications
• Establish and maintain 2D drawing standards and communicate to suppliers
• Ensure 3D data accuracy and support of digital marketing assets
• Support service part BOM/illustration creation
