About The Position

Franciscan Health Indianapolis Campus 8111 S Emerson Ave Indianapolis, Indiana 46237 The Catholic Priest Chaplain ministers to patients, their families and staff. Provides the sacraments, offers mass, and other duties of staff chaplains. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree - Theology or Related Field - Required
• 1 year Chaplain in a healthcare institution - Preferred
• Familiarity with Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Healthcare Services - Preferred
• Ecclesiastical Endorsement - Required
• National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC) Certification - The National Catholic Bioethics Center - Preferred
• Willingness to provide pastoral care across multiple hospital units as needed - Required
• Flexibility to assist with coverage during holidays, weekends, and occasional night shifts - Required
• Openness and sensitivity in ministering to individuals and families of all faith traditions - Required

Nice To Haves

• Master's Degree - Master of Divinity, Doctor of Divinity, Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies, Master of Theology - Preferred
• 1 year Chaplain in a healthcare institution - Preferred
• Familiarity with Ethical and Religious Directives for Catholic Healthcare Services - Preferred
• National Association of Catholic Chaplains (NACC) Certification - The National Catholic Bioethics Center - Preferred
