About The Position

GD Resources LLC is seeking a qualified Catholic Administrative Pastoral Life Coordinator to support the Catholic Religious Support Program at Fort Benning. This position provides administrative, pastoral, and program coordination support to the Catholic Chaplain and Priest in accordance with Roman Catholic Church guidelines, the Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS), Army Regulation 165-1, and Installation Chaplain policies. This is a non-personal services position. The individual selected will not be considered a government employee and will operate independently while coordinating closely with the Catholic Priest, Chaplain, and Religious Support Office (RSO).

Requirements

  • Ability to obtain Catechist Certification from the Archdiocese for the Military Services (AMS) within 90 days of hire.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with clergy and RSO staff.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and select federal holidays.
  • Ability to successfully complete: Tier 1 background check with State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) Child protection background screening Required DoD, Army, and installation training (AT Level I, OPSEC, iWATCH, PII, IA, Child Protection)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a Catholic parish, chapel, or military religious environment.
  • Familiarity with Catholic liturgy, sacramental processes, and parish administration.
  • Experience with event coordination, recordkeeping, or religious education support.

Responsibilities

  • Attend and participate in weekly Catholic parish meetings.
  • Develop and submit a monthly Catholic Community calendar detailing Masses, religious education, holy days, events, and closures.
  • Create and distribute weekly Catholic bulletins and announcements.
  • Maintain accurate Catholic Community registration records.
  • Track and report attendance for all Catholic community events.
  • Prepare liturgical books, sacred vessels, Eucharistic elements, and materials prior to each Mass in accordance with Garrison SOPs and AMS standards.
  • Collect and organize documentation for Sacraments (Baptism, First Communion, Confirmation, etc.).
  • Prepare and upload Sacramental records in the AMS portal for priest certification.
  • Coordinate Catholic community events, holy days, and special services.
  • Prepare and submit facility reservation requests.
  • Design and distribute publicity flyers for Catholic events.
  • Submit monthly reports of consumed supplies and materials.
  • Support preparation of AMS Quarterly Clergy Reports.
  • Comply with all training, background check, security, and installation access requirements.
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and respectful conduct in a military religious environment.
