Schedule: Full-time Days (Hendersonville, NC) A Cath Lab Technologist who excels in this role by being responsible for providing quality care in a mobile or fixed cardiac cath lab and a positive interpersonal experience for the patient. Additionally, the Cardiovascular Technologist will assist the cardiologists in all aspects of invasive cardiology, including scrubbing, circulating, monitoring and recording hemodynamic parameters in accordance to policy and procedure. Employee shall also be responsible for the operation and reporting of results using blood glucose and oxygen saturation devices in accordance to policy and procedure. Work with adult patients in a high-quality, patient-centered care environment.

Requirements

  • Applicants should have an active registry or certification in an Allied Health field such as Cardiovascular Technology, Respiratory Therapy, Paramedic or certificate of completion from approved CVT program required.
  • Without benefit of degree, equivalent on the job training and experience of at least 2 years duration may be acceptable.
  • Current BLS certification is required.
  • State ACLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment.
  • Cath lab experience, cardiac nursing, special procedures, or respiratory therapy with cardiac/intensive care patients.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist cardiologists in diagnostic & interventional cardiac and vascular procedures.
  • Circulating, monitoring, and/or scrubbing during procedures.
  • Pre- and post-procedure patient care and assessment.
  • Records, circulates or scrubs during procedures.
  • Monitors patient EKG as well as vascular and intracardiac pressures.
  • Assists in any resuscitative efforts or life threatening situations.
