About The Position

Cath Lab Technologist Schedule: this is a full-time role that will work 4, 10-hour shifts/week from 7 am to 5:30 pm. This role also includes a call requirement that is usually one weekend/month and a total of 10 days out of the month. On average, our on-call employees come in about 10-15% of the time they are on call. More about our team This is an opportunity to work in a unit of four cath labs that averages about 57 cases/week. Our Cath Lab team is a close-knit unit that has a strong relationship with the physicians who provide learning opportunities for the staff. We are regional leaders in best practices, programs and procedures that include TAVR, carotid stenting, PTAB, DBA and renal denervation. How you’ll contribute A Cath Lab Tech who excels in this role: Performs a variety of technical and supportive patient care tasks before, during and after cardiac catheterization and special procedures. Responsible for assisting will all procedures providing patient education, assessment and monitoring, and participating in performance improvement activities. Monitors hemodynamics, electrocardiograms, and waveform analysis. Assists the cardiologist in invasive procedures including cardiac catheterization, coronary interventions, diagnostic peripheral cases, peripheral angioplasty and ICD, pacemaker, Swans-Ganz and intra-aortic balloon insertions. Reviews patient history and physician's orders; verifies patient’s identification before performing any procedure. Prepares equipment and supplies; implements safety standards and performs appropriate quality control procedures on equipment. Requirements

  • Applicants should be a graduate of a program in Radiology Technology.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the AHA required within 90 days of hire or transfer
