About The Position
We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to join our team. The Cath Lab Tech will assist physicians during cardiovascular diagnostic and interventional procedures, operate imaging equipment, monitor patient status, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
Requirements
- ARRT (R) or RCIS certification (depending on facility requirement)
- Active State Radiologic Technologist License
- Current BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum 1–2 years recent Cath Lab experience
- Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, cath lab supplies, and sterile techniques
Responsibilities
- Prepare the cardiac catheterization laboratory and equipment for procedures
- Assist cardiologists during diagnostic and interventional procedures (e.g., angioplasty, stent placement, cardiac catheterization, pacemaker/ICD insertion)
- Operate and troubleshoot imaging and monitoring equipment (e.g., fluoroscopy, hemodynamic monitoring)
- Monitor patient vital signs pre-, intra-, and post-procedure
- Maintain sterile field and practice strict infection control
- Administer contrast agents under physician supervision
- Document procedure details and ensure accurate patient records
- Maintain supplies, equipment checks, and room readiness
- Communicate effectively with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff
- Travel to assigned hospital locations as scheduled and adapt quickly to new work environments
