About The Position

As our Cath Lab Tech, you will help deliver excellent patient care by performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patients with cardiovascular disease in the cath lab setting. Every day you’ll independently operate all ancillary equipment in the lab including but not limited to: IVUS, pressure wire, rotablator, IMPELLA, atherectomy devices, laser and angiojet. You will demonstrate competencies in scrubbing techniques of all diagnostic and interventional procedures, utilize good radiation safety practices and you will make a positive impact on internal and external customers. To be successful in this role, you'll need to fully understand the importance of diagnostic imaging. This includes knowledge of the general imaging workflow, various patient positioning techniques, and capturing clear results for timely and accurate diagnosis. Be knowledgeable in the operation of Physiological Monitoring system for diagnostic and interventional studies. Accurately enters and records pertinent patient data, documents events, and calculates valve areas. Able to take Scrub Call Independently and assist Physician's in acute MI and Stroke procedures on unstable patients. Be knowledgeable of Intravascular Ultrasound theory and application.. Knowledgeable of Thrombectomy procedures, including preparation and deployment. Participates in facilitating the operations of the Cardiac Cath Lab including transporting and transferring patients, cleaning rooms, communicating accurately and promptly.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree CVTor RT or ACLS with experience scrubbing CCL procedures
  • Must be able to take call and return to hospital within 30 minutes.
