Requirements

  • HS Diploma or equivalent
  • Licensed by the state as a radiation operator
  • Registered by ARRT as a Radiologic Technologist
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and ACLS are required within six months of hire
  • Must be able to meet requirements of departmental on call policy

Nice To Haves

  • CI or RCIS preferred
  • One year of experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides high-quality direct and indirect patient care in accordance with established standards and scope of practice.
  • Performs all clinical responsibilities with a strong focus on patient safety, accuracy, and reduction of medical errors.
  • Develops and adjusts individualized plans of care based on patient response.
  • Effectively monitors, documents, and communicates patient conditions to the care team, provider, patient, and family.
  • Collaborates across disciplines to support patient transfer, discharge, referral, and psychosocial or spiritual needs.
  • Assesses learning needs and delivers age appropriate patient and family education.
  • Advocates for patients’ physical and emotional well-being.
  • Complies with departmental on-call requirements.
