Cath Lab Technician
About The Position
Primarily day shift with SOME late night (evenings) and on call dependent on unit needs Key Responsibilities Prepare the cardiac catheterization laboratory and specialized equipment before procedures Assist physicians during cardiac procedures such as angiograms, angioplasty, and stent placement Operate imaging and monitoring equipment to visualize blood vessels and heart function Monitor patients’ vital signs and cardiac rhythms during procedures Maintain sterile technique and assist with catheter insertion and equipment handling Administer contrast agents and medications under physician supervision when required Document procedure details and patient responses Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of cath lab equipment Provide post-procedure patient care and monitoring
Requirements
- Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and procedures
- Ability to operate specialized imaging and monitoring equipment
- Strong attention to detail and patient safety
- Ability to work in high-pressure medical environments
- Effective communication and teamwork
