Serve as the primary scrub assistant for diagnostic and interventional cardiac and peripheral procedures, demonstrating expert-level proficiency in coronary interventions (PCI), balloon angioplasty, stenting, and thrombectomy within a rapid-response trauma environment. Operate sophisticated physiological monitoring systems to record and interpret real-time intra-cardiac pressures and EKG rhythms, alert the physician to significant clinical changes, and accurately document all procedural events and medication administration. Demonstrate technical mastery in the setup, troubleshooting, and operation of advanced life-support equipment, including Intra-Aortic Balloon Pumps (IABP), Impella devices, Fractional Flow Reserve (FFR), and Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUS). Maintain a rigorous sterile field for all invasive maneuvers while strictly adhering to ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) radiation safety protocols, ensuring the correct use of lead shielding, dosimeters, and imaging equipment for the safety of the patient and the surgical team.
