The Cath Lab Tech (RCIS) performs invasive cardiac, peripheral vascular diagnostic, interventional and electrophysiology procedures using sophisticated imaging, hemodynamic monitoring and recording equipment to assess and treat cardiac and peripheral vascular disease.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in cardiovascular technology or equivalent experience.
• Expert knowledge in cardiovascular technology, including pharmacology and advanced cardiac rhythm management.
• Thorough understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, hemodynamic principles, X-ray techniques, and emergent and routine cardiac care.
• Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) within 12 months of hire is preferred.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) if applicable to position is preferred.

• Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) within 12 months of hire.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hire.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) if applicable to position.

Responsibilities

• Perform all duties of a Cardiac Technologist.
• Work with growth and development needs of unique client populations.
• Utilize effective cardiac communication skills.
• Understand and apply hemodynamic principles and X-Ray techniques.
• Administer pharmacologic options to treat patients.
• Understand special protocols for conscious sedation of patients.
