Requirements

• Must have current and valid license as a Registered Nurse issued by the State of Nevada.
• BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain current.
• Sexual Harassment training within 90 days of hire and annually thereafter.
• 2-5 Years Supervisor experience on an acute care unit.

Responsibilities

• The Unit Supervisor assumes responsibility and accountability for the quality of nursing activities and staff function during their shift.
• The Unit Supervisor will provide direct communication with the Nurse Director.
• Effectively utilizes nursing personnel, time and equipment on the unit and assists the department Director in the daily operation of the unit.
• Perform direct patient care, within scope of practice.
• Continually assess care and direct staff to make immediate changes in the plan of care.
