Requirements

• Associates Degree Preferred.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - CPR Certification.
• Current, valid license in one of the following: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS), Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES), or Radiologic Technologist [R.T.(R)].

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of technical skills during Cardiovascular, Non-ablation Electrophysiology or peripheral procedures.
• Proficiently perform one of the three standard roles of scrub, circulate, and monitor.
• Follow CDC isolation guidelines and use PPE appropriately.
• Identify and prepare patients using aseptic technique.
• Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and enforce safety regulations.
• Verify orders and facilitate implementation, communicating with physicians as needed.
• Perform treatments and administer medications according to policy and training.
• Produce an accurately written, promptly completed medical record for each patient.
• Participate in quality and performance improvement activities.
• Support quality standards and initiatives set by the department.
