About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Cath Lab Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in Texas . The Cath Lab RN is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional cardiac and vascular procedures. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical judgment, excellent patient care skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced procedural environment.

Requirements

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) License in Texas state license
  • Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab RN experience
  • Experience with cardiac catheterization, angioplasty, stent placement, pacemaker procedures, and vascular interventions
  • Current BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Current ACLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Strong knowledge of hemodynamic monitoring , cardiac rhythms, and emergency response protocols
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, fast-paced environment

Nice To Haves

  • Prior travel nursing experience
  • Experience with EP Lab or IR procedures is a plus
  • BSN

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care before, during, and after cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures
  • Prepare patients for procedures, including assessment, education, and IV access
  • Monitor patient condition, vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic status throughout procedures
  • Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac, vascular, and electrophysiology procedures
  • Administer medications, conscious sedation, and emergency interventions as ordered and within scope of practice
  • Maintain sterile field and ensure proper functioning of Cath Lab equipment and supplies
  • Recognize and respond quickly to changes in patient condition and emergency situations
  • Document all patient care, medications, and procedural details accurately and timely
  • Collaborate closely with physicians, technologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare team members
  • Participate in on-call rotation, including weekends, holidays, and after-hours coverage as needed
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies, patient safety standards, and infection control protocols
