We are looking to hire a Registered Nurse for our Cardiac Cath Lab! Schedule: 10 hour days--mainly M-F, day (with the exception of call) Call one night per week and every 4th weekend

Requirements

  • Associate degree required, BSN preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in Cath Lab or special procedures lab preferred or 3 years critical care experience
  • Current Iowa RN license
  • BLS ACLA Mandatory Reporter.
  • Intermediate language, high math, high reasoning ability.
  • Ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to work under pressure and with a large degree of independence.
  • Critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to perform within a team and good time management skills.
  • Strong knowledge base in cardiac anatomy, physiology and Cardiac care.
  • Must be able to analyze and interpret basic EKG tracings.
  • Knowledge of cardiac medications, hemodynamic monitoring and fundamentals of sterile technique.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct patient care activities in the Cath Lab & other applicable procedural areas implementing an outcome-based plan of care
  • Conducts an initial assessment and ongoing assessments
  • Performs indirect patient care activities to maintain department standards
  • Based on principles of growth and development, provides care appropriate to the age-related needs of the patients served on his/her assigned unit
  • Adheres to all safety, infection control and colleague health policies and procedures
  • Maintains a working knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws and regulations, Trinity Health’s Organizational Integrity Program, Standards of Conduct, as well as other policies and procedures in order to ensure adherence in a manner that reflects honest, ethical, and professional behavior
