About The Position

Located in the heart of the Central Valley, Clovis Community Medical Center is home to some of the region’s most advanced cardiac services. Our Cath Lab includes five procedure rooms and one hybrid Cath Lab/OR suite, where we diagnose and treat a wide range of cardiovascular conditions — from coronary artery disease and heart valve disorders to structural heart and electrophysiology procedures. With a collaborative culture that partners closely with PACU, PICA, and other departments, our team delivers state-of-the-art care in a supportive and close-knit environment.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate required.
  • Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology required.
  • 1 year of experience in a cardiac catheterization lab required.
  • Annual demonstration of proficient cath lab radiologic technologist proficiency required.
  • Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and arrhythmia recognition or completed the basic arrhythmia course and passed the exam within 12 month of hire required.
  • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA) required.
  • CRT - State of California Certified Radiologic Technologist required.
  • CRTFP - State of California Radiologic Tech Fluoroscopy Permit required.
  • ARRT - American Registry Radiologic Technologists required.

Nice To Haves

  • ARRT(VI) - ARRT Vascular Interventional Radiography preferred.
  • ARRT(CI) - ARRT Cardiac Interventional preferred.
  • ARRT(CVI) - ARRT Cardiac-Vascular Intervention (still valid but not available for new examinees) preferred.
  • RCIS - Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist preferred.
  • RCES - Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist physicians in performing complex interventional cardiovascular and electrophysiology procedures, including stent placement, pacemaker insertion, structural heart cases, and STEMI interventions.
  • Operate advanced fluoroscopic, ultrasound, and hybrid imaging equipment while managing devices, contrast agents, and supplies to ensure safe and effective procedures.
  • Adhere to strict radiation safety and quality control standards while serving as a resource for training and mentoring staff and students.
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care and support seamless procedural flow.
