Requirements

  • ARRT-R and licenses as required by State.
  • Previous experience in a Cardiovascular Lab and/or Interventional Radiology preferred.
  • Cardiovascular technologist training program with emphasis in invasive cardiology and hemodynamic monitoring preferred.
  • BCLS (AHA) required upon hire and maintain current.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 30 days of hire.
  • Proficient computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist by scrubbing procedures and/or monitoring physiologic and hemodynamic data related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab.
  • Certified to operate fluoro/pan with Fluoro CA license addendum.
  • Ensure procedure room is adequately prepared for the procedure.
  • Monitor par level of all instruments and supplies.
  • Participate in departmental staff meetings and performance improvement activities and the training of new staff.
  • Assist in all aspects of invasive and noninvasive cardiac procedures.
  • Prepare power injector and contrast medium.
  • Inject contrast during procedures and monitor injector rates/quantity of contrast administered during all procedures.
