Our rapid growth and breadth of accounts translates into exciting opportunities for our people!Job SummaryThe Sous Chef supports the successful operation of the Culinary Department, assisting the Executive Chef with daily kitchen operations, menu development, food preparation, and staff supervision. This role plays a key part in executing a high-volume catering program generating approximately $2.4M in annual revenue, leading a catering team of 15 associates. Responsibilities include producing and executing catering events, maintaining quality and presentation standards, supporting ordering and cost controls, and helping roll out new culinary programs. This is an ideal opportunity for an energetic, entrepreneurial culinary professional in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree or equivalent culinary experience
  • Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • Catering experience preferred
  • Experience in high-volume, complex foodservice operations strongly preferred
  • Institutional or batch cooking experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of culinary and catering trends, food safety, and cost controls
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, Outlook, and basic computer systems
  • Willingness to participate in client satisfaction initiatives
  • ServSafe certification highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Executive Chef with food and labor cost controls and overall budget management
  • Support menu planning, development, and daily execution
  • Produce and execute catering events for a high-volume operation
  • Supervise and support hourly culinary associates
  • Maintain standards for food quality, sanitation, and presentation
  • Support rollout of new culinary programs in partnership with corporate culinary and marketing teams
