This role oversees food preparation, assists with menu development, manages cost controls, and ensures high standards in quality, presentation, and sanitation. The schedule is flexible and driven by the needs of the catering business, including evenings and special events. This position is ideal for a hands on culinary leader who thrives in a fast paced, event driven environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent experience
  • Progressive culinary or kitchen management experience
  • Catering experience preferred
  • Experience in high volume, complex foodservice operations
  • Institutional and batch cooking experience a plus
  • Strong knowledge of food trends, quality standards, production, sanitation, and cost control
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and general computer use
  • ServSafe certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support the Executive Chef in managing daily culinary operations
  • Plan and develop menus for catering and special events
  • Oversee preparation, production, and execution of catering events
  • Supervise and support hourly culinary associates
  • Assist with ordering, inventory, and food cost controls
  • Implement new culinary programs in partnership with marketing and culinary teams
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
  • Participate in client satisfaction initiatives and events
