About The Position

The Catering Services Supervisor at UNC-Wilmington Aramark is responsible for overseeing the food service operation, ensuring that food is prepared and served in appropriate quantities while maintaining safety and quality standards. This role involves managing staff, maintaining inventory, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to read, write, and understand verbal instructions.
  • Completion of a sanitation course within the first year as a lead.
  • Basic arithmetic skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to maintain emotional control under stress.
  • Ability to resolve interpersonal situations.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, train, and manage the food service operation.
  • Produce and maintain work schedules and prepare production records.
  • Direct daily activities and maintain food production standards.
  • Ensure food items are stored safely and organized in a hazard-free environment.
  • Maintain serving schedules and ensure food is served according to menu specifications.
  • Maintain a sanitary department following health and safety codes and regulations.
  • Conduct weekly inventory checks and prepare orders as needed.
  • Supervise and evaluate employees, promoting growth, efficiency, and teamwork.
