About The Position

The Catering Services Security Agent at DFW Airport is responsible for ensuring the security of food carts, catering equipment, and catering trucks in compliance with TSA and airline regulations. This full-time position involves inspecting airline equipment, conducting physical searches, and ensuring safe handling of potentially dangerous items during the catering process.

Requirements

• High School diploma/G.E.D. or equivalent.
• Must be a U.S. citizen.
• Available to work weekends.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must have a reliable telephone number for contact.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Consent to and pass a drug test.

Nice To Haves

• Previous airline experience.
• Previous experience in security, military, and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Ensure food carts, catering equipment, and catering trucks are secured according to TSA and Airline regulations.
• Inspect airline equipment for unauthorized items.
• Conduct physical searches for questionable or dangerous items.
• Inspect food, sealed items, beverages, and serving utensils for tampering or inappropriate items.
• Search under carts and trolleys using a mirror for hidden items.
• Conduct inspections inside the catering facility or on the loading dock as permitted by local laws.
• Search vehicles for weapons and explosives prior to loading catering carts.
• Escort catering carts from inspection to loading onto transport vehicles.
• Seal all carts with tamper-evident security seals after inspection.
• Notify Law Enforcement and Airline Ground Security Coordinator when necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and report maintenance needs.
• Project a positive image and respond to inquiries from clients and the public.
