About The Position

The Catering Captain at Aramark is responsible for overseeing and supporting the planning and execution of catering events of various sizes and complexities. This role ensures adherence to catering brand standards and promotes a safety culture within the work environment. The Catering Captain directly supervises catering operations, including staff coordination, event setup, and customer relations, while also participating in management meetings and training programs.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years operational experience in a hotel/banquet setting.
  • Prior experience with booking of events preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise catering operations including staff coordination and event setup.
  • Book events, select and cost menu items, and determine pricing.
  • Assist with hiring, discipline, and performance reviews of staff.
  • Coordinate activities with other internal departments and vendors.
  • Facilitate external customer relations and represent Aramark at meetings and events.
  • Ensure sanitation, organization, and safety standards are met through supervision and checklists.
  • Participate in management team meetings and training programs for staff.
