Collaboration— You will collaborate with internal stakeholders and external suppliers, crafting strategies to ensure a robust and efficient supply chain. As part of a team of supplier managers, you will have the chance to receive formal training and learn additional techniques from your peers that will enable you to develop additional procurement skills to secure the best value for Micron. Sourcing— You will source solutions and services. This work will include research on software, IT hardware and various service offerings. You will work operate within established processes to conduct sourcing activities and apply demand management. Strategy— You will be an important part of our team's work to build category strategies to drive savings, value, assurance of supply, quality and supplier performance within your assigned category. Negotiation— You will take the lead in identifying and negotiating favorable terms with suppliers and will work with partner with our Legal team to complete contracts with suppliers. Your ability to drive alignment with team members and develop negotiation strategies will be critical for success. Management— You will manage Micron’s relationship with key suppliers and have responsibility for holding suppliers accountable, resolving issues, and improving supplier performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Business Administration/Management, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance, Economics or similar fields of study.
  • Strong interest in negotiation and willingness to engage in critical conversations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
  • Ability to work well in a dynamic environment that requires a high degree of multitasking with minimal direction.
