About The Position
Ferguson is currently seeking a Category Sales Specialist to support our Waterworks business group! The role involves building and maintaining consultative sales relationships with new and existing clients, including business development initiatives, providing product suggestions and expertise, and collaborating with clients and internal partners at all levels to promote Ferguson products. Responsibilities also include holding training events, both large group and one-on-one, which cover product knowledge, selling skills, and understanding of pertinent reports and scorecards. The specialist will partner with outside sales teams to provide technical product knowledge, implement category initiatives to improve market share, act as a technical subject matter specialist for products, develop and maintain vendor relations, and collaborate with the operations team to help maintain and control inventory levels. Continual improvement of sales skills and product knowledge is also expected.
