Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, a related field or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience in Supply Chain or Procurement.
  • Demonstrated pattern of initiative and ability to work independently.
  • Demonstrated effective interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Proven problem-solving, decision-making and negotiation skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel up to 5-10%.
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

  • Develops the overall strategy for corporate fleet, travel, pallets, office supplies and all related services and supplies along with associated budget, and oversees the annual bid process with suppliers across this space to drive a 2-4% yoy cost savings.
  • Negotiates various contracts with assigned suppliers, including fleet, car rental contracts, purchase and trade-in of executive vehicles, household goods carrier contract, and travel services, dining, office supplies, and pallets. Managing sales and executive car program. This role requires excellent customer service skills.
  • Manages the contacts to ensure the travel management team executes Hormel travel policy and Manager audits invoices making sure travel expenses are charged to the correct business unit. Responsible for identifying, highlighting, and aligning cost savings opportunities.
  • Oversees pallet strategy and related services for enterprise distribution, warehouse and plant requirements, including negotiating company wide agreements to source all pallets needs across the enterprise while maintaining adequate supply and service at competitive costs. Identify and implement cost savings work to reduce enterprise spend.
  • Understands market conditions and take actions to mitigate risk, including identifying alternative suppliers or substitute sources of suppliers.
  • Manages complex projects across the enterprise to drive cost savings.
