About The Position

Are you a motivated supply chain professional with a passion for problem solving? At LCRA, we are looking for a Senior Category Manager to join our Transmission Supply Chain Team! In this role, you’ll lead strategic sourcing initiatives, analyze markets, and develop category strategies that drive real business impact. If you have experience sourcing goods and services in an electric utility environment, you will thrive here.

Requirements

• Nine or more years of experience in procurement, vendor management or project management or other relevant experience.
• A degree(s) in business, supply management, finance, economics or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with stakeholders and ensure category strategy alignment with overall business objectives.
• Lead sourcing events for complex, high risk, high spend categories.
• Negotiate contracts that bring to bear supplier relationships and capacities to achieve a competitive purchasing advantage for LCRA.
• Serve as a subject matter expert in strategic sourcing and mentor colleagues with less experience.
