The Procurement team is moving beyond traditional sourcing goals to create value for the enterprise by improving profitability, increasing supplier collaboration, and supporting new solution development. We are a client focused team designed to bring value and help lead innovations within the enterprise. The Sr. Procurement Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the organization's Repair Services procurement activities. This includes developing and implementing procurement strategies, sourcing and negotiating contracts with service providers, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and policies. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and a proven track record of success in procurement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, economics, or a similar business field
- 5+ years of experience in supply chain, operations or commodity management
- Legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely is required.
- Knowledge of contract law and regulations.
- Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to work with various departments.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and organizational abilities.
- Solid knowledge of financial markets influencing service and commodity pricing.
- Employee must be based in the Greater Chicago Area with the expectation to be in office 3 days per week.
Responsibilities
- Execution of the Global Repair Services Strategy.
- Handle supplier management, including ownership of supplier relationships.
- Conduct RFQ exercises, cost negotiations, and project awards.
- Lead contract negotiations.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for escalation issues for internal operational teams.
- Continually pursue cost efficiencies and achieve annual cost reductions.
- Manage the supply chain by sourcing, reviewing, and procuring Repair Services solutions.
- Evaluate, select, and recommend new vendors to management.
- Study market trends and identify risks when sourcing and procuring service commodities.
- Ensure that project-approved budgets are adhered to.
- Resolve vendor disputes and any category-related issues.
