About The Position

The position involves leading the development and execution of comprehensive category management strategies across the enterprise, focusing on strategic sourcing, supplier relationship management, and risk management initiatives. The role requires collaboration with suppliers and internal stakeholders to enhance sourcing strategies and ensure effective supplier negotiations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in supply chain, business, finance, mathematics, or other quantitative discipline.
• Minimum two years of work experience in sourcing, financial analysis, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with data analytics, preferably in purchased transportation or third-party linehaul.
• Understanding of optimization concepts including scenario analysis and resource allocations.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of category management strategies.
• Evaluate category/spend information and make recommendations for sourcing strategy.
• Develop category expertise and market contacts.
• Participate in supplier negotiations and support senior staff.
• Manage internal projects and programs.
• Act with authority in dealings with suppliers and business stakeholders.
