About The Position
The Category Manager – Grocery is responsible for leading strategic sourcing and end-to-end category management for assigned dry grocery and consumer packaged goods categories, including Latin-focused, national, and international brands. This role owns category strategy, supplier partnerships, pricing, promotions, and risk mitigation to ensure profitable growth, supply continuity, and alignment with Talpa Supermercados’ customer needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, Business, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience in Category Management, Procurement, or Supply Chain.
- Grocery category management, advanced negotiation, financial analysis, advanced Excel, ERP and BI tools.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of the U.S. grocery retail market, including Latin and national brands, preferred.
- Strongly preferred Bilingual English–Spanish.
Responsibilities
- Develop category strategies, pricing, and promotions.
- Manage national and international suppliers.
- Lead commercial negotiations and contracts.
- Partner with Supply Chain, Finance, and Operations.
- Analyze financial, cost, and supply performance.
