About The Position

We are seeking a Procurement Manager to create world wide strategies for Base Building Maintenance (BBM) for multiple business units and operation centers. The person in this role will coordinate and partner with leaders and teams globally across Amazon and lead and interact with our most important professional suppliers to satisfy organizational requirements. This leader will work with Regional Maintenance Engineering (RME), Design and Construction, World Wide Design, and Safety to develop and execute category sourcing strategies, deliver savings/value and improve productivity across the category. The base pay for this position ranges from $103,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Requirements

Bachelor's degree
5+ years of relevant strategic sourcing and category management in indirect categories such as professional services, support or maintenance spend, supply chain, forecasting, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement, or vendor management experience
5+ years of supply chain experience
Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
2+ years of driving process improvements experience

Nice To Haves

Master's degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Responsibilities

Identify, develop and deliver long term sourcing strategies, lead key initiatives with cross-functional teams; drive the decision-making process of the category roadmap with senior leadership.
Build relationships and alignment with internal and external stakeholders
Lead supplier performance management; including improving sustainability & social responsibility;
Drive alignment and establish success criteria for common or shared goals around Savings, Supplier Diversity, and Sustainability
Act as a market intelligence provider regarding categories; anticipate strategic opportunities and keep key stakeholders informed
Coordinate and collaborate with local teams to deploy and manage the implementation of your defined strategies
Candidate must be able to travel, up to 15%
