About The Position
The Senior Staff Category Management Specialist utilizes extensive supply chain, category management, strategic sourcing, contracting knowledge and experience to implement Supplier Commercial Excellence for IT sub-categories and/or business functions (Hardware, Information Security, IT Professional Services, Software, Telecom, Artificial Intelligence (AI) etc.). This position is responsible for executing the standard end-to-end procurement and supply chain processes of plan-strategy-source-perform, inclusive of category management activities across assigned categories and will operate across multiple cross-functional teams to leverage end-to-end value for an assigned portfolio of spend. The role is Supply Chain's (SC) single point of contact and strategic lead for the placement of Entergy's third party spend into the appropriate supply markets. Key interfaces for this position are internal business customers such as internal business units, Supplier Diversity, Tax, Finance, Risk Management, Safety, Human Resources, Legal external suppliers and industry organizations. The scope of this role may include but not limited to building & maintaining cross functional teams with the business to create prioritized sub-category profiles and business cases from plans, developing contracting strategies; executing strategic sourcing processes at enterprise and business function level; developing evaluations, managing negotiations, redlining and negotiating software licenses, implementing contracts, providing post-award contract management and oversight. The primary objective of this role is to create value through the supply chain in terms of safety, cost and performance.
