About The Position

The Category Management Revenue Analyst is responsible for leveraging data analytics, market intelligence, and forecasting methodologies to support UniPro’s Category Management strategies. This role translates complex data sets into actionable insights that drive Supplier negotiations, pricing strategies, revenue growth, cost reduction, and informed decision-making across the organization.

Requirements

Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree with a focus in Analytics or Accounting and a strong ambition to learn the dynamics of Business Intelligence software.
Knowledge of business functions as well as intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
Must display an aptitude for detail with well-developed inter-personal skills, strong organizational and follow-through skills.
Must demonstrate proven written and verbal presentation skills.
Time management and problem solving are key for this position.
Excellent interpersonal & communication skills, influence, strong team building cross-functional partnership and organizational skills
Proven analytical and experience in working with large data sets
Ability to prioritize work and manage multiple tasks in fast-paced team structure
Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language

Nice To Haves

Prior experience with reporting tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau, and VBA) is a plus.

Responsibilities

Data Analysis & Reporting Analyze category purchase, revenue, and volume data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities across UniPro Members and suppliers.
Develop, maintain, and enhance category purchase and revenue trend models.
Produce and distribute recurring reports, including monthly reporting for UniPro Exclusive Brands, Centralized Billing Sales, UPA, and Tier Suppliers.
Publish monthly Tier reporting to Members for all applicable Tier Suppliers.
Consolidate and integrate multiple data sources into structured dashboards, spreadsheets, and BI reporting outputs.
Ensure data integrity by validating accuracy, completeness, and consistency across all reporting platforms.
Market Intelligence & Pricing Strategy Analyze key market intelligence indicators and industry benchmarks (e.g. NPD data) to evaluate market conditions and competitive positioning.
Develop pricing models and forward-looking pricing scenarios to support Category Management strategies and Member decision-making.
Provide weekly market analyses and forecasting to support Category “market calls” and guide purchasing behavior within UniPro programs.
Translate external market trends into strategic recommendations for Category stakeholders and Members.
Forecasting & Strategic Planning Develop market forecasts to support annual budgeting, financial planning, and strategic initiatives.
Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and evaluate targeted data sources to measure program effectiveness.
Provide analytical support for tactical initiatives aligned with company goals and revenue objectives.
Generate scenario analyses to assess financial impact of pricing changes, Supplier programs, and volume commitments.
Supplier & Member Support Partner with Category Management team members to run analytical reports and support Supplier negotiations with data-driven insights.
Collaborate with Members and Suppliers to ensure timely and accurate reporting required to meet volume commitments.
Support best-in-class service delivery through responsive, data-backed analysis and communication.
Systems & Technical Competencies Utilize BI tools and software platforms to extract, mine, and analyze large datasets.
Manage and develop additional reporting capabilities through business intelligence tools.
Merge and manipulate complex datasets to produce consolidated reporting outputs.
Continuously improve reporting automation, efficiency, and analytical methodologies.
Collaboration & Leadership Participate in supplier meetings, internal department meetings, and cross-functional project initiatives as required.
Demonstrate innovative leadership by transforming complex analytical findings into clear business insights that support executive decision-making.
Contribute to the ongoing development of technical and analytical capabilities within the Category Management team.
Assists, coordinates and participates in special projects for the Category Management Department as assigned.
May travel, on a limited basis, to attend and participate in UniPro Conferences or industry functions.
