Main Purpose of Job The Category Analyst (Advisor) assists the Category Manager and Sr Category Analyst in developing and executing the modular relay process. A key responsibility is to collaborate with the Category Manager and the Sr Category Analyst to create Strategic Category plans by leveraging analytics, insights, and technology to identify actionable customer-specific insights to drive the Relay Strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • 2+ Years Prior experience with a category advisor team, business analytics, or in a technical/analytical role is preferred
  • Scintilla/Madrid
  • Circana/Nielsen
  • JDA Space Planning (ProSpace)
  • CKB, POG Generator
  • Power BI/Tableau
  • MS Tools, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint, etc.
  • Shiloh, or other similar database tool

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and provide insights into weekly POS performance for customers and maintain competitive ad tracker, as well as being knowledgeable on the category’s business intelligence reporting portfolio for ad hoc requests.
  • Leverage insights from a variety of data platforms to cultivate actionable insights and identify opportunity gaps.
  • Serve as the primary contact for the customer modular development team and manage store traiting.
  • Ensure the accurate maintenance of item attribution, images, and dimension collection and updates.
  • Partner with the Category Manager and Sr Analyst to ensure the success of Modular Relays from strategy inception to modular submission.
  • Provide support in analytics, insights, merchandising, assortment optimization, and cluster recommendations.
  • Assist with testing and validating modular drawings during the relay process for generation, submission and post-modular and relay analytics.
