The Category Developer is the sales lead for their assigned portfolio within a targeted account base, focusing on increasing share and velocity of their assigned commodity. This involves selling-in brands to customers and selling-out to consumers through planning and executing brand activations. The role requires maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders/gatekeepers of supplier accounts and serving as a 'go-to' consultant. The Category Developer will be active with in-market events and education, and will participate in a two-week 'in-person' Academy Category Training. This position supports Diageo Spirits brands in the greater Steamboat Springs area for both on and off-premise accounts. Prior industry experience is a plus, and local candidates are preferred.
